If I had any complaint about that whole sequence it's how the killer knew where she was at all times (except the part in the bathroom, but that made sense). No dramatic villain monologues, no dropping of idiot balls, she used the environment to her advantage as well as the slow swinging speed of the killers weapon.

Haru avoiding the assassin on her own was really cool, they made her look both helpless and surprisingly pragmatic all at once, the way she avoided getting killed didn't seem forced at all. Akuma no Riddle episode 9: Dayum, that was everything I was hoping for and perhaps more.
